Someone should explain to Irwin what "voluntary compliance" means. Almost all laws in the US are based on voluntary compliance.

If you take your hazardous chemicals to the recycling center rather than dump them down the gutter, you voluntarily comply with the law. It doesn't mean that hazardous dumping is legal or that there aren't consequences if you break the law. It just means that every gutter isn't guarded by cops or covered over to prevent dumping.

If you stop at a red light, you voluntarily comply with the law.
In comparison, an example of enforced compliance might be a train crossing. When you approach the crossing, a barrier lowers and you are physically unable to cross. Compliance isn't voluntary in that case because you physically can't move forward.

Mark Yannone is an IDIOT libertarian. Libertarians are all talk and not action.

And people who name call and make gross generalizations about a person and groups of people are, in fact, as studies have proven..."anti-social." Crimes against others and criminal acts are perpetrated by antisocial personalities. CJ

You mean like Irwin Schiff calling all IRS employees "cockroaches"?

That too... but remember the reference to a "Behavior" is somewhat different than referencing someones ability or personal life or self.

So I hope the author who referenced Mr. Yannone (who I don't know) doesn't place his or her failings and transgressions above those of Irwin or others on these pages. CJ

If the chitinous exoskeleton fits...

Yes, they behaive as does a roach, that they do their work hidden and when a light is shined upon them they seek shelter. The shelter comes from the barrel of a gun, an appointed judge, unlimited funds, and prejudice. By exposing them to light, (light being truth) they then run for the cover as above. This is indeed a bit different than to say someone is an "idiot" and worse to do so without giving any factual data/reasoning and then to say all Libertarians are all talk and no action is to demean many who the original author of the statement has absolutely no awareness of even their names.

NOW On to Voluntary Compliance?
I have NEVER seen a train crossing that I could not pass through. Just a wee bit of turning one way and then the other and I am through and past the alleged barrier. So the example is flawed and thus void.

Now for that same author, why does the IRS and SS consistantly use the term VOLUNTARY whereas no law in your state's drivers manual say these laws are based on voluntary compliance but the IRS does. And why then does SS say it is "Completely Voluntary" for an American, (one having a birth right) but is required for aliens before their first taxable event? YET as an American with a birth right you cannot work without one?

Answer the above and you will begin to learn and understand. It is way deeper than Irwin's trial could ever expose. CJ
